Jeśli ktokolwiek miałbym pisać cokolwiek o współczesnych deejayach to w żaden, ale to żaden sposób nie mógłby pominąć niemieckiego deejaya Caba Krolla.

Pierwsze w swoim życiu sety Caba zagrał w 1982 roku. Tak długi staż w zawodzie pozwala na stwierdzenie, że ten akurat współczesny deejay należy do grona nielicznych już dzisiaj deejayów, prawdziwie doświadczonych fachowców najwyższej klasy światowej.

Od 1988 do 1998 roku Caba był rezydentem w najbardziej chyba znanej niemieckiej dyskotece TARM CENTER w Bochum. Bez wątpienia sława i renoma tej dyskoteki to jego zasługa. W 1996 roku Caba pierwszy raz pojechał w tzw. trasę po niemieckich dyskotekach. Efektem tej trasy było to, że zaczęto go klasyfikować jako jednego z 10 najlepszych deejayów w Niemczech. Wkrótce po trasie niemieckiej przyszły zaproszenia do wielu klubów Europy.

Caba Kroll jest także producentem nagrań / przebojów : BASS BUMPERS - "The Music`s got me", MISS PEPPERMINT, GARDEWEG - jak również wielu remixów zrobionych wspólnie z partnerami, którymi są Henning Reith, C.J. Stone i Akira Yamamoto. Własne / solowe produkcje Caba Krolla to takie hity jak: C.J.Stone - "Pleasure" i DJ Toddes - "Disco Experience", wydane przez legendarną firmę płytową Kontor z Hamburga. Innym, niezwykle udanym pomysłem Caba Krolla i jego kolegi Klausa Frohlicha, jest słynny na całą Europę i pół świata DEEJAY MEETING, który odbywa się corocznie od 12 lat w Niemczech. DEEJAY MEETING to targi, wystawa, pokazowe występy, imprezy i spotkania dla branży dyskotekowej. www.djmeeting.de

Trzy lata temu Caba założył agencję artystyczną Al2gether www.al2gether.de wspólpracująca z takimi gwiazdami jak: ATB, Woody van Eyden, U 96, Miss Peppermint, DJ BALLOON, C.J. Stone, Gardeweg, Azzido Da Bass, Voodoo & Serano.

Caba Kroll wydał dotychczas dwa single: "In Your Face" i "I Can See The Light". Aktualnie (wraz z partnerami, którymi są Hennig Reith i rumuński wokalista Laurentiu Duta) pracuje nad trzecim singlem.

If you speak about the dj-scene around the Ruhrgebiet (Ruhr district) you cannot pass the 35- year- old CABA KROLL from Mülheim / Ruhr. In 1982 he startet to establish himself in the discotheques around the whole Ruhr district. From 1988 till 1998 CABA KROLL managed the turntables as the resident DJ in one of the perhaps best known discos of Germany, the tarm center in Bochum. 1996 Caba started his tour through the discotheques all over Germany. During the last summers he performed for example as a DJ in RIU Palace & Physical at Mallorca and in several clubs of Ibiza (Space / El Divino). Productions and artists as for example BASS BUMPERS (The Music's got me), MISS PEPPERMINT, GARDEWEG and several remixes have been featured by CABA and his partners Henning Reith, C.J. Stone & Akira Yamamoto. His own productions (C.J.Stone's Pleasure E.P. / DJ Toddes Disco Experience) have been published by the Club label KONTOR Rec. in Hamburg. CABA KROLL and his partner KLAUS FRÖHLICH are founders and organizers of the annual DJ MEETING which is regularly visited by the complete DJ family and the dance music scene all over Germany. Having been held for 12 years the DJ MEETING is the largest fair of this kind and at the same time a party for DJs and representatives of music production in Germany. With his event- and artist agency Al2gether (www.al2gether.de), founded by him three years ago, CABA managed DJs and famous artists and arranged events like ATB, Woody van Eyden, U 96, Miss Peppermint, DJ BALLOON, C.J. Stone, Gardeweg, Azzido Da Bass, Space / Ibiza on Tour, Voodoo & Serano and many others till July 2001. Since June 2001 however he has concentrated again on the production and presentation of new titles and newcomers in music business because of some structural changes at BASS BUMPERS MUSIC and Al2gether. But his work with Al2gether will still centre on the management of the DJ MEETING. After his two last singles "In Your Face" and "I Can See The Light" his third single on KONTOR Rec. wil be published in spring 2003. Together with Laurentiu Duta from Romania (Vocals) and his partner Henning Reith, Caba spends a lot of time in studio at the moment to produce the new Single.

Y@HU - when did you decide to become a disc jockey

- when and where did it really start

 - how long have you been a deejay ?

 

CABA –  I did not decide it from one minute to the other. My desire to play as a DJ in a club was a evolution of my mind over a few years. I really started in 1984 (age of 18).

YOUR MEMORIES

Y@HU - Tell me something (as much as possible) about the deejays you

know / you've met in your career ?

 

CABA –  I met a lot of DJ´s in my life. Some DJ´s with big names and a bad feeling for music and some DJ´s with no names and a good feeling for music. Some “Real-Star” DJ´s, who had a very likeable and natural personality and some “Wannabe-Star-DJ´s” with an arrogant and shallow character. My fundamental opinion is: It doesn´t matter if you play for the crowd or in a small club, if you play commercial sound or underground… every DJ should give the respect and accept to the other. Every DJ has the right to play for HIS audience!

Y@HU - Tell me about most exciting moments in / about your deejay / producer career ?

CABA – ... as an deejay - The first years when I played as resident DJ in Tarm center/Bochum in 1988 – 1998 (one of the first and most famous “Laser Dicothek” of the world).

As an producer: The years when we had success with our project BASS BUMPERS

Y@HU - Can you tell anything interesting about music artists you know or met ?

CABA – I can, but I don´t do!!!!  Privacy!! (-:

Y@HU - Have you ever done something else or is DJ'ing your life ?

CABA – Of course: Working as a workman, visiting High School and being a Military Policeman

in German Army.

Y@HU - What do you think about today deejays whose use samplers, CD mixers, studio equipment "create" special versions of the songs / recordings, known as covers - is this serious or just fake - I mean they create nothing in fact - they just use good music made by someone else from the past. In other words - they can create nothing if it wasn’t from  such old, good records of the '70, ’80 or ’90 ?

CABA – All these equipment is only a littele help in your work, but DJ´s eyperience cannot be replaced through technical instruments. To b
