REELOOP / KAYLAB
Reeloop / Kaylab, in real life, Oliver Klitzing, always did his own thing. As a dj, he experimented with different music styles but with progressive trance and techno, he found his home. His idols were artists like Kraftwerk, Depeche Mode, Prince, Devo and Human League and these influences were very important for Kaylab.

Nowadays he`s got gigs around Germany every weekend and also international bookings like Cybertrance, and gigs: Japan, Poland, Australia, Netherlands. His impressive dj sets include very harmonical technoide grooves, crazy vocal hooks and sophisticated mellow lines. This claim you can hear also in his own productions, many dj`s call that the "headline style", which is a mix of underground groove with commercial elements, from trance to techno.

You`ll find in Kaylab cases a lot of records from labels like gigolo records, id&t, loop, bush, audio, djax up, ttx, primevil, terminal m, spielzeug, clr, frisbee, zync, confused, primate, music man, compressed and bpitch control. Kaylab mostly spinns productions from artists like dj rush, monika kruse, tiesto, chris liebing, green velvet, daft punk, depeche mode, umek, marco carola, dave clarke, marco v, thomas schumacher, beroshima, ben sims, adam beyer, joey beltram. From his job at different independent companies as an a&r/clubpromoter, he finally found his way into the studio. His innovative and straight productions always show new directions in the techno scene and he decided to found his own label Headline Records in 1999.

At the Headline office you find 2 complete digital Headline Studios, a music edition (klangforschung publishing/roba mv), a label (headline records) and a booking agency (headline booking) included. Check:

In sepember 2001, the track "groove electronic - indian requiem" entered the german media contral sales charts at # 84 and was the first chart entry for Headline.
Various important labels from Germany and abroad pay special attention to the Headline tracks and recognize the vibe and potential of these releases. Labels like digidance, byte, id&t, n.e.w.s., lightning (all benelux), otr (uk), independance, airplay (france), avex (japan) and alphabet city, kosmo, tracid traxxx, unsubmissive, edm, zeitgeist, emi, urban, sony (all Germany) have already released Headline productions. With Reeloop - "fucking society" came the final break through for Oliver Klitzing and Headline Records. In cooperation with tracid traxxx (gas), digidance (benelux), airplay (france), bxr (italy), sheer music (southafrica), magic (poland), central station (australia) and vmp (asia) plus various compilation releases worldwide and a massive dj power of all important djs this track grew to a megaburner. In july 2002 Paul van Dyk himself played the track as one of five at the LoveParade, Berlin! The vinyl of "fucking society" was top 5 selling record in Germany in 2002, and sold worldwide more than 17.000 records.

In summer 2002 Headline released, again in cooperation with tracid traxxx, the first Oliver Klitzing - "I like that beat" single. Phatt own remixes (reeloop und kaylab) were completed by an Andreas Kremer rmx . In february 2003 Oliver Klitzing launches his second label, called Minority Records.

In the march 2003 the new Kaylab called "do not attempt" hits the dance floors. Emmanuel top was so enthusiastic about the track, that he is doing the requested rmx.

In april 2003 the remix of Lambda`s `hold on tight", is played once again all over the world and is heading the German dance charts for more than five weeks. Because of this, the record company decides to use this remix as the video-radio edit. Probably the first top 20 chart hit for a Kaylab/Reeloop remix! Also in april Oliver Klitzing releases his first album/mix CD. This collection is called "the very best of 3 years headline" and includes 39 tracks and remixes done by Oliver Klitzing during the last 3 years. In addition to that, Headline Records releases a double vinyl with some new remixes of the most popular productions.

In july Oliver Klitzing will release another mixcompilation called "techtrance", released by alphabet city and distributed by intergroove.

Y@HU - when did you decide to become a disc jockey
- when and where did it really start
- how long have you been a deejay ?

RELOOP / KAYLAB – I started with highschool-parties at the end of the 70ies. At that time i was sitting in front of the radio nearly every evening and tried to record as many of my favorite tracks as possible. Then I went to the local record shop and tried to buy these tracks on vinyl. After a while I had collected a few hundred 5 and 12 inch singles and wanted to play these tracks to the audience. I think I organized the first party at the age of 13 in 1979 , with about 200 or 300 people. I did that for a few years and in 1985 (I was 19) I had the first resident club. I played 5 times a week for a few “german marks”. In 2003 it’s my 23rd  year beeing dj

YOUR MEMORIES

Y@HU - Tell me something (as much as possible) about the deejays you know / you've met in your career ?

RELOOP / KAYLAB -

Well, I met a lot during the years. I don’t want to mention any names. There are a few, which I have a real good contact wit

Będę to jednak sprawdzał przed publikacją dlatego, że normalni ludzie bedą wspominać, a pojeby bedą ziać jadem, ubliżać, bluzgać (jak to w polskim internecie:-))) - tak mają Polacy i ja to wiem, a zatem śpię spokojnie i nie odpowiadam na zaczepki maluczkich nieudaczników - np. tu - FB profilu na którym opublikowano informację o moim blogu historycznym -Ku Pamięci SilverClubu- : http://www.facebook.com/Bielsko
