Pośród tysięcy przeróżnych deejayów na świecie, Jan Wayne okazał się jednym z tych najbardziej utalentowanych, osiągających największe komercyjne sukcesy.

Pracował jako promotor dla Booya Records kiedy postanowił spróbować własnych sił jako deejay i producent nowej, tanecznej muzyki. Zadebiutował własną wersją przeboju Bonnie Tyler z 1983 roku zatytułowaną "Total Eclipse Of The Heart". Nagranie okazało się dużym sukcesem osiągając pozycję nr 13 na niemieckiej liście najczęsciej kupowanych i granych hitów dance.

Kolejny hicior Jana "Because The Night" okazał się jeszcze większym sukcesem i dotarł aż na 4 pozycję w/w listy przebojów. Tyle, że tym razem był to już przebój europejski, grany w bardzo wielu dyskotekach.

Kolejny singiel "Only You" okazał się kolejnym wielkim przebojem promującym pierwszy album Jana Wayna "Back Again!"

Pasmo sukcesów trwa do dzisiaj. Czwarty w karierze rewelacyjnego deejaya i producenta singiel i przebój "More Than A Feeling" spodobal się tak jak poprzednie milionom bywalców dyskotek i nie tylko.

Na rynku jest już także drugi album Jana "Gonna Move Ya!". Album ten zawiera tak absolutnie rewelacyjne hity dyskotekowe jak: "Love Is A Soldier" i "1,2,3 (Keep The Spirit Alive)".Album jest wydany łącznie z płytą DVD zawierającą video clipy: "More Than A Feeling", "Love Is A Soldier", "1,2,3 (Keep The Spirit Alive)" itp.

Wayne jak mało kto wie w jaki sposób zapełniać parkiety światowych dyskotek. Gra muzykę z lat `70, `80 i najnowszą - nie omijając bardzo popularnego R&B. Ma 28 lat a jego udana, oparta na samych sukcesach (ponad 10-letnia) kariera twórcy uwielbianych w dyskotekach hitów trwa nieprzerwanie. Jan Wayne to ponad wszelką wątpliwość jeden z bardzo nielicznych deejayskich gwiazdorów, który wie na czym polega zawód deejaya. To on jest dla publiczności, a nie publiczność dla niego. Innymi słowy gra tak jak to lubi publiczność, a nie tak jak wielu innych deejayów grających według i dla własnego widzi mi się - co bardzo często prowadzi jedynie do opustoszania dyskotekowych parkietów. If anyone can claim to be an all-round talent, then it is Jan Wayne. He knows how to fill the dance floors at theme parties featuring hits from the 70s and 80s, at BlackBeat nights as well as at soft vocal house or pumping techno events. He has perfected his turntable skills over his 10-year career and has now become one of the most popular DJs in northern Germany. Variety is the 28-year-old's recipe for success.

After working for a long time as a committed DJ promoter at Booya Records, Jan Wayne decided to fulfil his wish to entertain the clubbers with his own creations. He did not waste any time and went into the studio to start work.

His debut was a remake of one of his personal favourites, which took pride of place in his record case: Bonnie Tyler’s 1983 chart hit “Total Eclipse Of The Heart”. Some of you may remember the first butterflies in your stomach when you were asked to dance to this hit eighteen years ago. This track ensured easy promotion to the premier league of German dance producers.

His debut managed an excellent entry in the charts: “Total Eclipse Of The Heart” reached number 13 and he himself bettered this success with his follow-up “Because The Night” which made number 4 in the German charts. It even became no. #1 in the dutch sales charts and brought the first golden record for Jan! He even conquered the UK and entered the top 20 at the UK single sales charts at no. #14!

The likeable Northern German became one of Germany’s most popular DJs and has been overwhelmed with booking inquiries ever since. His singles are among the top 10 most successful dance singles according to the evaluation of the first six months of 2002 made by Media Control (source: Musikwoche.de). With his last single “Only You” he continues the story of success with its peak position at no. #14 at the German sales charts.

Also his debut album “Back Again!” is marked by the superb Jan Wayne sound and includes brand new tracks in addition to the hits “Total Eclipse Of The Heart”, “Because The Night” and “Only You”.

One special bonus for the now huge number of fans, “Back Again!” also came as a limited edition with a bonus DVD! The DVD features all three videos and a “making of” for “Only You”. The debut album of Jan Wayne stormed the German sales charts and peaked at the top 20 at no. #16! Also his 4^th single "More Than A Feeling" were successful in the sales charts. All that success brought him his first nomination for the ECHO, Germany’s most important music award!

And now Jan Wayne proves his incredible sensitiveness with his 2nd album „Gonna Move Ya!“ which includes a wonderful mixture of dreamlike atmosphere and brisk dance beats. Besides of the hit singles „Love Is A Soldier“ and „1,2,3 (Keep The Spirit Alive)“ it will contain 11 other hits. As special bonus for the fans, the album will be available again as a limited edition incl. bonus DVD. This will include the videos of „More Than A Feeling“, „Love Is A Soldier“, „1,2,3 (Keep The Spirit Alive)“ as well as a ‚making of’. Y@HU - when did you decide to become a disc jockey

- when and where did it really start

 - how long have you been a deejay ?

Jan Wayne – It already started during my time in school. I was asked to organize the music for class parties first and later for school parties as well. That was the time I realized, that djing is fun! After finishing school I got in contact to some DJs playing in a small club near to my home. They gave me a chance to spin some vinyl’s in a discotheque for the first time. After 2 Years being an assistant for their toilet breaks and as light jockey I had my first “real” gig in that club in the age of 18. Since that time I’m nearly each weekend on stage and today my hobby is my profession.

Y@HU - Tell me something (as much as possible) about the deejays you

know / you've met in your career ?

Jan Wayne – I met so many deejays all around the world in this long time. There are a lot of nice guys understanding the spirit of djing, but unfortunately there are also a lot looking only for the fast money you can earn. Today djing is “in” and almost everybody who saw a Technics 1210 in a store calls himself a DJ.

Y@HU - Tell me about most exciting moments in / about your deejay / producer career ?

Jan Wayne – I think that one of the most thrilling moments was my first gig I had to do without any help. I can’t remember any other gig with such trembling knees ;o). Of course there happened a lot of exciting things till that day. For example I’ll never forg
